Man Utd set to sign Karl Darlow | OneFootball

Manchester United are close to completing the free signing of Wales international Karl Darlow.

Darlow has spent the last three seasons at Leeds United, taking the place of new Arsenal recruit Illan Meslier towards the end of the 2024/25 promotion season.

However, he has been a free agent since the end of the last season after having featured 24 times for the Whites in all competitions.

According to journalists Laurie Whitwell and Patrick Boyland of The Athletic, the 35-year-old is now expected to become the backup to Senne Lammens ahead of Tom Heaton with current number two Altay Bayindir expected to leave the club.

United's fourth-choice goalkeeper Dermot Mee recently signed a new contract with the Red Devils while André Onana left on loan to Trabzonspor and Radek Vitek is expected to depart the club either on loan or on a permanent basis.
