Liverpool have played the loan market expertly over the last few seasons.

Top players such as Conor Bradley, Fabio Carvalho and Tyler Morton have benefitted from temporary spells away from the club in order to aid their development.

In the case of Bradley, he returned to become a Premier League champion with the Reds - while Carvalho and Morton earned big-money moves on the back of successful loans.

This season there is once again an army of young Liverpool stars out on loan.

Owen Beck's injury struggles continue

Luca Stephenson is again doing the business for Dundee United while Vitezslav Jaros, James McConnell and Lewis Koumas all have the opportunity to get first-team football elsewhere.

One other player who moved out again on loan was Owen Beck - who enjoyed a solid season at Championship level for Blackburn in 2024/25.

It’s been a struggle this time around for the 23-year-old however with the Welshman yet to play a single game for Derby County during his loan.

Difficult moment for Owen Beck

That is due to a reaction he’s suffered on an injury sustained last season. He was unavailable for Derby’s weekend clash against Oxford United - and manager John Eustace has now admitted that Beck is experiencing a low point right now.

"It's a really difficult moment for Owen," Eustace told Derbyshire Live.

"He's not back with the group as such, and it's been a really frustrating time for him and for us.

"But we've got to get him in the right mindset and in the right state of fitness before he can actually come in and train every day and be part of the group.

"He's doing well and he's heading in the right direction. It's a bit slower than what we wanted, but when he's back, I know we've got a great player to help join the squad. That's key."
