Manchester among clubs weighing up summer swoop for Barcelona youngster – report | OneFootball

The 2024/25 season has seen many Barcelona players step up and perform for their clubs. While some have revitalised their career under Hansi Flick, others have levelled up even further.

One of them has been Alejandro Balde. The left-back has been one of the most consistent performers for the Blaugrana this season, racking up 32 appearances with one goal and six assists.

Premier League clubs eyeing move for Balde

Balde’s consistent performances this season have not gone unnoticed either, with several Premier League clubs now eyeing a move for the Spaniard next summer.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are among the clubs interested in the services of Balde, as the English giants look for a major revamp in the summer.

Currently struggling close to the relegation zone, Manchester United desperately require quality reinforcements if they are to restore their lost glory.

The report adds that the Red Devils are ready to pay a considerable sum in order to get their hands on Balde.

However, Manchester United are not the only Premier League outfit looking to get their hands on the Barcelona full-back next summer.

Teams with European ambition are also eyeing a move for the Spaniard, though Manchester United’s interest is most concrete at the moment.

Barcelona, though, are unlikely to consider the sale of Balde anytime soon. The left-back extended his contract in 2023 and it appears the club are clear about his role in the team in the years to come.

Not to mention, Balde has been immensely successful in Hansi Flick’s dual role, so it is unlikely the player himself will consider an exit.
