In a recent report, Marca stated that Manchester City are hoping to recruit Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian club have been offered a chance to sign the French talent in this summer transfer window.

Camavinga’s Impressive Form In La Liga

Camavinga enjoyed a solid campaign at the Madrid club after he put in a run of influential displays for them in the middle of the park. The 23-year-old scored two goals and secured one assist in 43 matches for Los Blancos last season in various competitions.

The French talent is currently one of the most gifted central midfielders in La Liga. Thus, it is no surprise that Man City are showing interest in signing him this off-season.

Camavinga is under contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium until the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Mancunian club to recruit him on the cheap later this year.

Will Camavinga Be A Good Option For Manchester City?

Camavinga loves a tackle and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually clears the danger when the opposition are on the offensive and is a good passer as well from midfield.

However, the French sensation has to find a way to be more consistent with his performances at the centre of the park. Camavinga mainly functions as a box-to-box midfielder but can also play as a defensive midfielder or as a left-back if needed. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football.

We can expect Camavinga to add more quality and depth to Man City head coach Enzo Maresca’s midfield. He has what it takes to compete for a regular first-team place at the Etihad Stadium next season.

At 23, the future looks quite promising for Camavinga as long as he continues to improve with each year. However, Maresca has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before he can get the best out of the player.
