In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Manchester City are ready to launch a move for Nottingham Forest ace Elliot Anderson this summer. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian giants are eyeing a €140m move to sign the English talent later this year.

Anderson’s Impressive Form In English Football

Anderson enjoyed a good run of form at the Midlands club as he was responsible for putting in a string of impressive performances at the heart of their midfield. The 23-year-old scored four times and earned five assists in 50 matches for Nottingham last season across various competitions.

The English sensation is currently among the best central midfielders in the Premier League. Therefore, Man City would do well to secure his services this off-season.

His current contract at the City Ground will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Mancunian giants to sign him on the cheap in this transfer window.

What Will Anderson Bring To Manchester City?

Anderson is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually clears the danger when the opposition are on the offensive and is a tidy passer as well.

The English sensation can shoot the ball with power from long range and is full of energy and running at the centre of the park. Anderson mainly operates as a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a holding midfielder or play in the number ten position if asked to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club.

We can expect Anderson to bring more quality to Man City’s midfield department. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium next season.

At 23, Anderson has got his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for Man City to consider in the long run. He will also help the Premier League giants compete across all fronts in the coming years. With all things considered, Man City should focus on going all out to bring Anderson on board this off-season.
