Pep Guardiola has named and finalised his Manchester City travelling squad for the UEFA Champions League clash against AS Monaco this week.

City will be hoping to maintain the fine performance levels they have shown since returning from their respective national team commitments earlier this month, remaining unbeaten across competitions since.

Victories in the Premier League have come against Manchester United and Burnley, as well as a resilient defensive showing on the road against Arsenal, while in other competitions there have also been strong outings too.

City managed an opening matchweek win over Kevin De Bruyne’s Napoli at the Etihad Stadium to get their UEFA Champions League campaign off to a strong start, while there has also been progression in the Carabao Cup with a 0-2 away win against Huddersfield Town in round three.

Injuries have eased slightly ahead of the clash against French outfit Monaco this week, with Rodri returning to training after complaining of knee pain and withdrawing from matchday duties against Burnley, while Rayan Cherki has also recovered from a hamstring issue.

Now, Manchester City have confirmed a 21-man travelling squad that left Manchester Airport on Tuesday afternoon for the south of France and Nice Airport ahead of the clash with AS Monaco!

Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Donnarumma, James Trafford, Marcus Bettinelli.

Defenders: Rico Lewis, Matheus Nunes, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake, Josko Gvardiol, Nico O’Reilly.

Midfielders: Rodri, Nico Gonzalez, Mateo Kovacic, Bernardo Silva, Tijjani Reijnders, Divine Mukasa, Phil Foden.

Forwards: Oscar Bobb, Savinho, Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland.

Rodri is a notable inclusion following his absence from the weekend’s 5-1 win over Burnley owing to “a lot of pain” suffered in the same knee he severely injured last season.

Having returned to training with the rest of the team this week, the Spaniard has been included in the travelling party that has jetted out to the south of France on Tuesday afternoon.

One player who did train but will play no part in the encounter as Manchester City look to manage his steady return to action is Rayan Cherki, after the Frenchman recovered from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action since the end of August.
