Victory over Nuno Espirito Santo’s side at the semi-final stage of the competition means City progress into the final of the tournament where Crystal Palace await in mid-May, in what will be Pep Guardiola and his side’s third successive final in appearance in the FA Cup.

As for Paris Saint-Germain, the French capital outfit are taking on a mammoth encounter against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal over two-legs with a place in the final of the UEFA Champions League up for grabs.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s meeting at the Emirates Stadium, a strong delegation from the Paris side travelled in advance of matchday to engage in various media commitments and follow the squad around during their final preparations for the clash.

And according to Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi had an interaction with a Manchester City fan while taking the London Underground back to his hotel, in which the supporter told the club’s official to “crush” Arsenal on Tuesday night.

Al-Khelaifi and Luís Campos were both present at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night to monitor their club’s final preparations for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final with Mikel Arteta’s Gunners this week.

Manchester City crashed out of this season’s UEFA Champions League prior to the last-16 of the competition for the first time since 2012/13, with Real Madrid inflicting a heavy two-legged scoreline over Pep Guardiola’s side.

The two familiar foes in European competition went head-to-head in a play-off clash following their respective positions in the revamped and newly-introduced ‘league phase’ of the tournament, with Los Blancos emerging 6-3 victors on aggregate.
