Echeverri has a bright future and is expected to become a prominent player at Manchester City. But it would seem increasingly likely that he will go out on loan to speed up his development. A new report indicates that City have rejected a loan offer from Roma. While another report indicates that a loan to a Premier League club could come Claudio Echeverri’s way. That could be the ideal option for Echeverri’s development.

Journalist César Luis Merlo has reported that Manchester City have rejected a loan offer from Roma for Claudio Echeverri. Furthermore, Luis Merlo reports that Roma were eager to sign Echeverri on a 12-month loan. Luis Merlo adds that Roma wanted to include a mandatory purchase clause of €33 million in any deal for Echeverri. The deal would’ve included a buy-back clause for Manchester City as per Luis Merlo’s report.

Jordan Campbell has reported for The Athletic that a loan move to Girona is unlikely to proceed for Claudio Echeverri. Furthermore, Jordan Campbell reports that the preference is to loan Echeverri to a Premier League club if he does leave Manchester City.

A loan move to another Premier League club could be the perfect move for Claudio Echeverri.

If a loan move to Roma is off the table for Claudio Echeverri, perhaps a loan move to another Premier League club would be ideal. That way Echeverri would continue to adjust to life in the Premier League. If he could land at the right club it could set him on his way. A year away from City could speed up Echeverri’s development. To do so in the Premier League would almost be the ideal move for the young Argentinian playmaker. Hypothetically, if Echeverri played well in the Premier League he’d return to City as much more hardened player ready for what lies ahead in his City career.

It won’t come as a surprise if Claudio Echeverri leaves Manchester City on loan in the coming weeks. It depends on where he may go at this point. But the idea of him spending time on loan at another Premier League club could be the idelal move for him.
