Widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Gianluigi Donnarumma swapped Paris Saint-Germain for Manchester City in the summer.

Furthermore, he emerged as a concrete target for Inter Milan at one point, only to sign for the Cityzens on deadline day.

Though it’s been four years since he left Serie A, Donnarumma is still keeping close tabs on developments in his home country.

Meanwhile, Napoli pipped Inter to the title last term, prevailing in a nerve-shredding season finale.

However, Antonio Conte’s side must now defy the course of reigning holders.

That could prove easier said than done, with AC Milan, Inter, and Juventus vying for the crown.

Asked who will win the Scudetto in 2025/26, Donnarumma replied: “There are four, five teams that can make their mark until the final stretches.

“And, as I said before, this is precisely what gives a new dimension to Serie A.

“I like Milan, I’m curious about everything behind their turnaround. I think of Allegri, but not only him.

“Milan have great ambitions. I spoke with people I know well who understand the Rossoneri environment.

“They believe in it and rightly so.”

Despite praising Milan for their summer overhaul, Donnarumma couldn’t help but emphasize Inter’s strength.

“Inter’s strength lies in a tested group that feeds on recent experience,” he added.

Moreover, he believes Roma and Juventus have enough quality to upset the Milan clubs and Napoli.

“Conte’s confirmation at Napoli with the energy and skill of the Italian champion coach,” he added. “Gasperini’s new Roma and their room for improvement; Juventus to be considered.
