Manchester City's 8-0 hammering of Salford City made it three wins in a row after their recent wretched run of form, and also a little bit of niche English top-flight history.

Following on from a 1-1 draw with Everton, a 2-0 win at Leicester, and a 4-1 win over West Ham, their eight-goal haul against the League Two side in the FA Cup saw them become the first top-flight side to ever double their goal tally in three consecutive games.

A little bit more history for Pep Guardiola and his side, and further proof that they might be on the rise again? What odds on a 16-0 win at Brentford tomorrow?
