Manchester City predicted XI v Monaco: Rodri to return? | OneFootball

Rodri missed Manchester City’s win over Burnley over the weekend, however, he could make his return against AS Monaco on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola revealed during the pre-match press conference that the Ballon d’Or winner’s load is being managed. The Manchester City manager said that the Spanish midfielder is not capable, physically, of playing three matches within a week. However, he could play some part against Monaco, even if it is not from the start. Nico Gonzalez could therefore start in the No.6 role.

Rayan Cherki has also returned to training, however, it is too early for him to return to the squad, whilst the likes of Omar Marmoush, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Abdukodir Khusanov are all also out of this UEFA Champions League clash.
