Manchester City scout Brendan MacFarlane set to become Troyes interim sporting director | OneFootball

Manchester City scout Brendan MacFarlane is set to become the interim sporting director at Troyes, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The former Toulouse head scout looks set to take on a new role within the City Football Group, following L’ESTAC’s promotion back to the top flight. 

MacFarlane, who used to write for Get French Football News, joined Manchester City as their European Regional Scouting Manager in April 2023, shortly after leaving his previous role with Les Violets. The Irishman is now set to take a new challenge in France. 

Manchester City’s MacFarlane to replace Antoine Sibierski at Troyes

Foot Mercato understands that the former Brentford scout has been recruited to temporarily take over from the departing Sibierski at the Stade de l’Aube. It remains to be seen whether he will assume the role on a permanent basis.
