Manchester City have completed the signing of Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea for 145 million euros, a fee that equals the Premier League transfer record.
According to L'Équipe, the move was confirmed minutes after City announced Iliman Ndiaye, and the 2022 world champion has agreed a long-term contract.
The sum matches the mark set last summer by Liverpool for Alexander Isak, signed from Newcastle. It also becomes the most expensive transfer in City's history, ahead of Elliot Anderson's arrival a few weeks earlier.
Fernandez joined Chelsea in January 2023 on a deal running to 2032, and won the Europa Conference League and the Club World Cup with the Blues.
Now 25, he finished the 2025-26 campaign with 15 goals and 7 assists in all competitions. He then played at the 2026 World Cup with Argentina, who reached the final against Spain.
