In a recent interview with Football Insider, ex-Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson tipped his former club to move in for Everton wide player Iliman Ndiaye. Borson said,

“I do think that the other teams would be interested. Man City, in particular, like the player (Ndiaye).

“And if City were to sell Savinho, maybe they would be interested in him. Savinho does look like he will eventually go to Spurs.

“If they could get a bidding war going, £70m these days is not enormous, is it? And some people would say, ‘Well, [Crysencio] Summerville went for, let’s say £55m plus add-ons’.

“So £70m would be above that. On any of these deals, you need a bit of competitive tension to get the best price. They need a couple of teams that are pushing the price up.”

Ndiaye’s Decent Form In English Football

Ndiaye had a good campaign at the Merseyside club as he put in a string of impressive displays for them on the right flank. The 26-year-old found the back of the net six times and secured three assists in 34 matches for Everton last season in multiple competitions.

The Senegalese talent is currently one of the most talented wingers in the Premier League. Hence, Man City would do well to acquire his services this summer.

His current contract at the Hill Dickinson Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Mancunian club to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Will Ndiaye Be A Good Fit For Manchester City Boss Enzo Maresca?

Ndiaye is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out on the flanks. He has the vision to create some inviting chances for others around him in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.

The Senegalese sensation did well to add a few goals and assists to his game last season. Ndiaye is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or a striker if asked to do so. He has some experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Man City if they end up recruiting him this summer.

We can expect Ndiaye to bring more quality and depth to Enzo Maresca’s frontline. He is good enough to challenge for a regular starting place at the Etihad Stadium.

At 26, Ndiaye has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a good fit for Man City’s needs this summer. He will also help the Mancunian giants compete across all fronts in the coming years.
