Manchester United add Stuttgart midfielder to transfer shortlist | OneFootball

Manchester United are monitoring Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller ahead of the closing stages of the transfer window.

Ruben Amorim wants to bring in another midfielder before the September 1st deadline, with the Red Devils having enquired about Brighton’s Carlos Baleba. A valuation of around £100m looks to have blocked that deal, though other options are under consideration.

Stiller is a player that Manchester United admire, according to journalist Sam C, having impressed across his two seasons with Stuttgart.

The former Bayern Munich youth product helped Stuttgart to Champions League qualification in 2023/24 and was part of the side that won the DFB-Pokal last season. He has won four senior caps for Germany since his debut last year.

No midfielder aged 24 or under had more progressive actions in the Top 7 Leagues last season than Stiller. His on-the-ball quality in a deep-lying role is well appreciated as Manchester United look to supply a new-look forward line.

Stuttgart are under no pressure to sell, however, and will demand a significant fee to part with the 24-year-old.
