Manchester United and Chelsea have enquired about PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma | OneFootball

Manchester United and Chelsea have both enquired to PSG regarding Gianluigi Donnarumma’s (26) situation, according to Marc Mechenoua. The Italy international is currently at an impasse with Les Parisiens. Despite his pivotal role in leading PSG to their first-ever Champions League title, Donnarumma is facing the prospect of a season spent on the sidelines in the French capital as the Ligue 1 champions are going all out in their pursuit of Lille’s France international goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier (23).

According to a report from RMC Sport, Donnarumma has no intention of leaving PSG, but his deal expires next summer and no breakthrough is in sight over a contract renewal. Given Donnarumma’s value remains high following his Champions League heroics, PSG would be keen to sell him now. And the goalkeeper’s future may lie in the Premier League as Manchester United have reached out to PSG.

Marc Mechenoua reports that, barring a major trimming down of Ruben Amorim’s squad, United are not expected to follow up their interest in Donnarumma. Manchester United’s Premier League rivals Chelsea have also enquired about Donnarumma to PSG.
