In a recent post on X, journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Manchester United are among the clubs hoping to sign Red Bull Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. It is believed that the Red Devils would have to rival Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool in the race to sign the Ivory Coast prospect in this summer transfer window.
Diomande has enjoyed an impressive campaign at the German club after he produced a series of impressive performances for them on the offensive end of the field. The 19-year-old deserves a ton of credit for scoring 13 goals and picking up ten assists in 36 appearances for RB Leipzig this season in all competitions.
The Ivory Coast talent is currently among the best wide players in the Bundesliga. Hence, it is no wonder that the Red Devils are showing interest in recruiting him this off-season.
His current contract at the German club will expire in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for Man United to snap him up on a cut-price deal in this upcoming transfer period.

Diomande is a great dribbler with the ball and can make some dangerous runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the pace to cause some problems for his marker out on the flanks.
The Ivory Coast sensation can strike the ball with venom from long range and has proven that he can contribute by scoring and creating a lot of important goals for his team in the final third. Diomande is primarily a left-winger but can also play as a right-sided wide player if required. However, it remains to be seen whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to land him later this year.
We can expect Diomande to inject more pace and goals into Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s frontline. He has what it takes to compete for a regular first-team place at Old Trafford next season.
At 19, Diomande has got the potential to be a generational talent and could be a success story at the Theatre of Dreams in the long run. Thus, Carrick would be wise to move in for him in this summer transfer period.
