In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Manchester United are eyeing a move to re-sign Olympique Marseille star Mason Greenwood. It is understood that the Red Devils would have to rival Paris Saint-Germain in the race to land the English talent this off-season.

Greenwood’s Incredible Form In French Football

Greenwood has enjoyed a great campaign at the French club after he put in a run of productive performances for them in the final third. The 24-year-old deserves a ton of credit for netting 26 goals and securing 11 assists in 45 matches for Marseille this season in all competitions.

The English talent is currently one of the best wide players in Ligue 1. Hence, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are eager to land him this summer.

His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Man United to snap him up on the cheap in this upcoming transfer period.

Should Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick Bring Greenwood Back To Old Trafford?

Greenwood is an excellent dribbler with the ball and can make some driving runs with it out on the flanks. He has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide positions.

The English talent can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third. Greenwood is primarily a right-winger but can also play as a striker down the middle if required. He already knows the Mancunian club well from his previous spell with them and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Old Trafford.

We can expect Greenwood to add more pace and goals to Man United boss Michael Carrick’s attack. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Theatre of Dreams next season.

At 24, Greenwood has his best years ahead of him and could be a real asset for the Premier League giants in the coming years. Thus, Carrick would be wise to go all out to bring him back to Old Trafford this summer.
