In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey stated that Manchester United are facing stiff competition for Sunderland forward Brian Brobbey. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils would have to rival Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Juventus, Stuttgart and Atletico Madrid in the race to land the Dutch striker this summer.

Brobbey’s Decent Season In The Premier League

Brobbey enjoyed a good run of form at the Wearside club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of productive displays for them in the Premier League. The 24-year-old banged in eight times and earned one assist in 33 matches for the Black Cats last season in multiple competitions.

The Dutch talent is currently one of the feared centre-forwards in the Premier League. Thus, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are hoping to get a deal done for him later this year.

His current contract at the Stadium of Light will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Man United to land him on a cut-price deal in this transfer period.

Brobbey is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some decent chances for his teammates in the final third and is a strong runner with the ball at his feet.

The Dutch sensation can chip in by scoring a handful of important goals for his team up top. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club.

We can expect Brobbey to add more goals to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s frontline. He is good enough to fight with Benjamin Sesko for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford in the coming seasons.

At 24, Brobbey has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Red Devils to consider in this transfer window. He would be well worth the fight, so Man United should consider stepping up their efforts to sign him this off-season.
