In a recent report, journalist Fraser Fletcher claimed that Manchester United are set to rival Chelsea for Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the German talent to Old Trafford this summer.

Adeyemi’s Impressive Form In German Football

Adeyemi has enjoyed another impressive campaign at the German club as he has put in a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 24-year-old has banged in ten goals and earned six assists in 39 appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season across all competitions.

The German talent is currently one of the most talented wide players in the Bundesliga. Therefore, Man United would do well to lure him to Old Trafford this off-season.

His current contract at the German club will run out at the end of next season, which could open the door for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Will Adeyemi Be A Good Fit For Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick?

Adeyemi is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The German sensation can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third. Adeyemi is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if Man United manage to snap him up this summer.

We can expect Adeyemi to add more firepower to Michael Carrick’s frontline. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford next season.

At 24, Adeyemi has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent fit for the Red Devils to consider for the long run. He might even help Man United challenge for some major honours over the next few years. Thus, Carrick would be wise to try and sign him on a cut-price deal this summer.
