Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko was involved with the first team at Carrington today and is doing everything he can to feature against Bournemouth tomorrow.
The Slovenian had been expected to be ruled out after he trained individually on grass yesterday.
Sesko had been away from the Red Devils’ first team due to illness, but he participated in some of the training sessions with his teammates today.
A final assessment will be carried out by the Man United medical team before the game tomorrow to determine his availability, but the striker is desperate to return to action.
Sesko has missed the last four Premier League games since he was brought on in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur last month.
The 22-year-old has bagged two goals and one assist in 12 appearances for Man United since his big-money move last summer.
The Red Devils are already being linked with other strikers, as Sesko has not delivered the goods.
Manager Ruben Amorim has yet to reveal whether Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo will be available for the game due to their involvement at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
Sesko could be thrown into action if they miss out, and he will also get plenty of chances to impress in their absence.
United have no plans to make major recruitment during the winter transfer window, but that could change if the results heading into the New Year do not impress Amorim.
