Manchester United continue to widen their scouting network. They keep a close watch on young prospects across Europe. Their focus has now turned to Real Madrid forward and Newcastle United target Endrick. Several top clubs have already discussed his name. The 19-year-old Brazilian joined the Santiago Bernabeu in July 2024 with high expectations.

His first few months in Spain, however, have tested the average Madrid fan’s patience. Former manager Carlo Ancelotti had limited the 19-year-old striker’s playing time, using him mainly in the Copa del Rey and leaving him out of most league matches. Now, Journalist Mark Brus reported for the Daily Briefing that Real Madrid plan to loan out Endrick in the upcoming month of January so he can gain consistent game time elsewhere.

Around eight clubs now chase his signature. That list includes Premier League sides who see promise in his potential. Manchester United remain among those clubs and continue to assess whether the teenager can grow into a future star under their guidance. Yet beneath all the transfer talk, a question lingers about timing and risk. That uncertainty could shape the winter market.

Why the Magpies Should Stay Cautious Over Endrick?

Endrick’s name has created excitement around the upcoming window, but Newcastle United must stay cautious. The Magpies now look for a reliable striker after Alexander Isak’s summer move to Liverpool created a gap in their attack. They already missed out on one target, Benjamin Sesko, who joined Manchester United. That setback has left them short of options.

However, if Newcastle invest heavily in the Brazilian striker, who still struggles to adapt to European football, it will bring real risk. His technical skill and goal-scoring instinct show clear promise, yet his lack of top-flight experience should be a source of worry. Newcastle aim to compete strongly in the Champions League, so they need a forward who delivers right away.

They cannot rely on a player who still needs time to adjust. For now, they should focus on keeping the squad stable and balanced. Newcastle United also want to renew Fabian Schär’s contract, and that move fits their current situation far better than gambling on a teenager still trying to find his rhythm in Europe.
