Reports from Italy suggest that Joshua Zirkzee is unhappy with his start to life at Manchester United.
The news comes shortly after Erik ten Hag, the man who brought Zirkzee to United from Bologna, was sacked by the club.
Zirkzee has now been challenged to adapt to a new manager, even though he never seemed fully settled under Ten Hag.
The Netherlands international has only scored one goal since joining the club. Zirkzee has played 16 games since he found the back of the net on the opening day of the season.
According to Calciomercato, the striker is unsure what the future holds for him at Old Trafford given Ten Hag’s dismissal and he is ‘very disappointed’ with his current situation.
This speculative suggestion doesn’t come as a surprise because Zirkzee would have hoped for a better start to life at United, with more goal contributions.
Rasmus Hojlund returned from injury after missing the start of the season and instantly won back his place in the team. It’s up to Zirkzee to provide stronger competition and he must impress Amorim early on.

Amorim will be keeping a close eye on the players who are away on international duty.
Manuel Ugarte scored a stoppage-time winner against Colombia, while Bruno Fernandes continued his goalscoring form for Portugal.
Meanwhile, Zirkzee has been recalled to the Netherlands squad for tonight’s game against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zenica.
The 23-year-old was left out of the team that beat Hungary 4-0 on Saturday.
It’s not just a matter of being a goalscorer but Zirkzee but start chipping in with assists at the very least.
The Amorim era starts now and every player must begin the chapter by proving themselves worthy to play in a new system under Amorim.
