Manchester United hoping to sign Lewis Hall from Newcastle United | OneFootball

Manchester United are chasing a deal to sign Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall this summer. 

Manager Eddie Howe’s exit could open a window of opportunity for the Red Devils.

The Daily Mail claims that United admire the 21-year-old but acknowledge a transfer would be difficult to pull off. 

Newcastle have already lost Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali to Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur respectively. 

Bruno Guimaraes is also on the verge of joining Arsenal, who have reached an agreement over a transfer fee. 

The Tyneside club have no intention of losing Hall in the same transfer window. They are in a strong negotiating position, with the England international under contract until 2029. 

Man United have reinforced their midfield by signing Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos this summer.

They still want to add another midfielder, while a left-back is also a top priority. 

Tyrell Malacia has left on a free transfer, and Patrick Dorgu is expected to continue in a more attacking role. 

Luke Shaw was impressive last season, but he needs someone to share the workload. 

Hall would be an excellent acquisition for United, but the Magpies will likely resist their advances.
