Briton’s stellar free-kick set Blaugrana en route to vital Clasico victory
Marcus Rashford revealed he does not know whether he will remain at Barcelona next season after clinching the La Liga title, but said it would be “special” to make his loan permanent.
The England forward, on loan from Manchester United, has enjoyed a fine campaign at the Nou Camp and capped it last night as he scored a stunning free-kick against arch-rivals Real Madrid, setting Barcelona on their way to clinching a 29th league honour.
The goal was Rashford’s 14th of the season in all competitions - he has also notched 14 assists - and Barcelona are understood to be keen to keep him around next season.
The terms of the Man United forward’s loan include an option to buy worth €30million (£26m), but with the Blaugrana in suboptimal financial shape, it is not yet clear whether they will be able to trigger said clause.
Reports in Spain suggest they are looking to negotiate a reduced transfer fee or renew Rashford’s loan for a further season on similar terms.

And amid such uncertainty, Rashford admitted he is unsure whether he will continue to play in a blue-and-red shirt next season, but made no secret of his desire to.
“I don’t know,” he told BBC Sport, asked whether he would stay at Barcelona.
“I am not a magician, but if I was, I would stay. So we’ll see.
“This team is a wonderful team. They’re going to win so much in the future as well, so to be a part of that would be special. So we will see.”
Rashford has enjoyed a fine debut La Liga campaign, and has been received well by the Barcelona faithful.
He continued, saying he was thrilled to cap his first season in Spain with silverware.
Reflecting on the campaign, Rashford added: “It’s really good. I come here to win. I want to win as many things as I can, so this is one more to add to this.
