Manchester United have set an asking price of €40m (£34.8m) for Manuel Ugarte amid interest from clubs in England and Europe.
Ugarte has struggled to make the desired impact since signing for Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee in the region of £51m in 2024.
The Uruguay international has fallen out of favour this season, starting just seven games in the Premier League.
United are prepared to cut their losses on the player, but aim to recoup a significant part of their investment. According to Caught Offside, the Red Devils will demand a fee of €40m.
Juventus have been heavily linked with the defensive midfielder and sent scouts to watch Ugarte during the recent international break. Atletico Madrid had been linked, though the Spanish side are prioritising Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
Despite Ugarte’s underwhelming displays at Old Trafford, there is also English interest. Newcastle United and Aston Villa are both long-term admirers of Ugarte, who impressed at Sporting CP before difficult spells with PSG and United. Both are considering offering Ugarte a lifeline for the right fee.
