Manchester United wants to bring back Scott McTominay

Scott McTominay, 28, is currently shining at Napoli after his departure from Manchester United in the summer of 2024 for around €30 million.

The Scottish midfielder clinched the Serie A title in his very first season and was voted the league’s best player. His outstanding performances earned him 18th place in this autumn’s Ballon d’Or rankings. According to reports, Manchester United is eager to bring him back, but McTominay appears happy in Naples and is unlikely to request a transfer as early as January. Napoli and Antonio Conte are currently refusing to sell the player, who is under contract until 2028.

This season, McTominay has already netted 4 goals and provided 1 assist in 14 matches, bringing his tally to 17 goals and 7 assists in 50 appearances for Napoli. He also boasts 13 goals in 65 caps for Scotland.
