Manchester United would be interested in making a move for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, according to the Sun.

They were keen on West Ham United’s Mateus Fernandes but are unwilling to meet their demands and have moved on to other targets.

The Red Devils are monitoring Guimaraes’s situation, but it is unknown if the Magpies are willing to sell him.

Arsenal want the 28-year-old, who created 45 chances in 29 Premier League games last term, and talks are ongoing with his representatives.

Man United will need to offer more cash to pip the Gunners to Guimaraes if Newcastle agree to sell him as he enters the last two years of his contract.
