No Amad Diallo, Casemiro or Noussair Mazraoui as Red Devils look to build on win over Chelsea

Manuel Ugarte gets the nod in midfield as Manchester United visit Brentford in the early kick-off today.

Casemiro is banned after his two yellow cards against Chelsea last weekend, and Manuel Ugarte has pipped Kobbie Mainoo to fill his boots.

Amad Diallo will also miss out due to a family bereavement.

“Amad is not here,” head coach Amorim told reporters on Friday. “Someone in his family passed away, so we are giving all the support to Amad. We understood that it was important for him to have his time and to return home.”

He added: “We can win without Amad and we want to win also for Amad.”

Amad’s place in attack falls to summer signing Matheus Cunha, fit again after returning from a hamstring injury off the bench last time out.

Amorim further revealed that Noussair Mazraoui will not be available for United until after the October international break due to a knock, meaning he will also miss out against Sunderland next weekend.

Lisandro Martinez continues to make progress in his recovery from a long-term knee injury, but is not yet ready to be considered.

There was some good news at Carrington this week when full-back Diogo Dalot resumed training following a muscle problem suffered while away on international duty with the Portugal Under-21s earlier this month.

He slots straight back into the starting line-up, with Patrick Dorgu assuming the opposite wing-back role. Bryan Mbeumo maintains his spot up front, while Benjamin Sesko has been handed another chance at a first goal in United colours.

Altay Bayindir is preferred to Senne Lammens between the sticks, behind a back three of Matthijs de Ligt, Luke Shaw, and Harry Maguire.

“Licha (Martinez) is out, Casemiro is out because of the red card,” Amorim said.

"(Mazraoui) is not going to be (available) until we stop for the national team, so he's out also. The rest are fit and ready to play."
