Ruben Amorim has confirmed his star players will continue to play despite reaching the Europa League final
Ruben Amorim will not make drastic changes to his Manchester United line-up as focus turns back to the Premier League with the visit of West Ham.
The likes of captain Bruno Fernandes, influential defender Harry Maguire and the experienced Casemiro all started on the bench for the 4-3 loss at Brentford, with only Maguire getting on the pitch.
But with United securing their spot in the Europa League final, which is a little under two weeks away, Amorim wants to keep giving minutes to his most-trusted stars. He told reporters: “They will play because sometimes it's better to play.
"What I will protect is the players that can get an injury. For example, Bruno, or the last game before Tottenham, but we moved the game to Friday, Chelsea, so we will have time to recover. “Bruno doesn't have the problem of (knocks table) any injury, but Harry has so we will have to manage that. But they have to play and it's better to play than to stay out."
All three could face Graham Potter’s men on Sunday, while the likes of Christian Eriksen and Amad Diallo are pushing to start.
A decision is required in defence with Matthijs de Ligt still sidelined. Youngster Tyler Fredricson started on the right of a back three against the Bees. Chido Obi is also back in contention after being ineligible for the Europa League but is unlikely to start back-to-back Premier League games.
Toby Collyer (leg) and Ayden Heaven (ankle) will be assessed ahead of kickoff, but Lisandro Martinez (knee), Joshua Zirkzee (thigh) and Diogo Dalot (calf) all remain sidelined.
Manchester United predicted XI: Onana; Fredricson, Lindelof, Yoro; Mazraouri, Ugarte, Eriksen, Shaw; Garnacho, Hojlund, Fernandes
Doubts: Collyer, Heaven
Injured: De Ligt, Martinez, Zirkzee and Dalot

Venue: Old Trafford
