Marc Guehi is in line to make his Manchester City debut at Wolves this weekend as Pep Guardiola manages an injury-hit squad. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the England defender has arrived from Crystal Palace in a £20 million deal.

He was not involved in Tuesday's squad for the 3-1 Champions League defeat at Bodo/Glimt, which followed a loss to Manchester United.

Guehi is City's second January addition after a £62.5 million move for Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo. The winger was also not involved on Tuesday and is expected to start against Wolves.

Bernardo Silva missed Tuesday due to suspension but will be available to face Wolves, as will Rodri, who will serve his ban in the next Champions League game. City hope to have Nico Gonzalez and former Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes back, with Nunes having missed recent matches due to illness.

Guardiola is still expected to be without Savinho, Mateo Kovacic, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol and Oscar Bobb.

He said City were without important players and looked fragile at times, though he felt several stepped up after going down to 10 men. He said results since 2025 have not been good, urged a response before Wolves and then Galatasaray, and admitted it currently feels as if many details are going against them. On his defence, he noted Dias could return soon, Stones hopefully too, but Gvardiol will not.
