Corinthians will have their most free weeks of 2026 in March, with two training weeks and only four Brasileirão fixtures.

According to Meu Timao, February brought nine matches in 28 days, roughly one every three days. In March, Dorival Júnior will, for the first time this year, get full weeks at the training ground.

Elimination from the Campeonato Paulista after a 1-0 defeat to Novorizontino has created a 10-day gap to their next fixture. The semi-final was played on 28 February, and the pause is even longer than their eight-day pre-season in January.

The international window leaves the final week of March without games, and the last nine days will be entirely at the staff’s disposal.

Dorival, who had complained about the packed calendar, is using the break to refine the side. The medical team are reconditioning Yuri Alberto, Kaio César, Hugo Farias, Felipe Longo and Matheus Pereira.

New arrivals Zakaria Labyad and Jesse Lingard have integrated with the group and finalised details for their debuts. Labyad could feature for the first time in the next game.

Corinthians face Coritiba on 11 March, Wednesday, at 21:30, at Neo Química Arena, in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
