Marco Fernández, Real Oviedo Femenino delegate, dies aged 55 | OneFootball

Real Oviedo are in mourning after news emerged yesterday afternoon of the death of Marco Fernández Magdalena, delegate of the women’s first team. He was 55.

The club said in a statement that he had also served as a youth-team coach and expressed deep shock at his passing.

He was described as a very special figure within the Real Oviedo Femenino family, and his dedication, commitment and affection would leave an indelible mark.

Condolences were offered to his family and friends at this difficult time.

Fernández leaves two children, María and Jaime. The funeral will take place tomorrow from 12.00 at the parish church of San Pedro de La Felguera. The wake is at the Langreo funeral home, room 11.
