Marco Silva approved João Veloso’s move, and Benfica have finalised a season-long loan to Moreirense for 2026/27. The club confirmed the agreement for the young midfielder.

Moreirense, based in Moreira de Cónegos in the municipality of Guimarães, will have the Benfica prospect for the coming campaign.

In his first comments as a Moreirense player, Veloso said the decision came naturally, praising the project and the endorsements he received before signing.
