Marcos André 'rejects' León loan as Real Valladolid face new issue | OneFootball

Real Valladolid have a fresh complication with Marcos André, who has 'rejected' a loan move to León in Mexico's Liga MX, Marca reports.

The Brazilian is into the final year of his contract and is seeking a new move this summer. He has been left out of the club’s pre-season camp in Los Ángeles de San Rafael and is not in head coach Fran Escribà’s short-term plans.

His second stint at the José Zorrilla has yielded more negatives than positives. The numbers do not point to a standout contribution.

Valencia paid €8.5 million for Marcos André in summer 2021. Since then he has not surpassed the mark of three goals, a threshold last reached before arriving at Mestalla.

Turning down the Liga MX option has not changed the broader outlook. His next step still appears likely to be away from Real Valladolid.
