According to Globo.com, the businessman is in advanced talks to buy the club’s SAF, arriving with his wife and Mário Junqueira of Almirante Participações after being invited to tour the stadium before kick-off.

He was struck by the close-quarters, cauldron-like atmosphere and was briefed on plans to renovate the ground. Wearing the new third kit, he walked the pitch, waved to fans and heard songs in his name. Alongside president Pedrinho, he watched the first half from the president’s room, then moved to the tribunes for the second.

After full-time, Lamacchia and Junqueira briefly visited the dressing room to greet the players and offer congratulations, with no formal conversation. Pedrinho, Admar Lopes and other senior figures also went in as usual.

He then spent a few minutes outside speaking with supporters and club directors before departing.
