A fresh insight into the ongoing efforts of the brass at La Liga champions Barcelona to register summer signing Marcus Rashford in time for the opening fixture of the new campaign has on Thursday been provided.

A major development in the Barcelona registration saga was of course confirmed just last night.

This came in the form of confirmation that La Liga have decided that the injury being dealt with by Marc-André ter Stegen can be considered long-term.

Barca, as a result, have been given the green light to make use of a portion of the German’s freed wages to register new signings.

The priority is now to ensure that Joan García is ready and available for selection to face RCD Mallorca on Saturday.
