Marseille reach agreement with Real Madrid to sign Dani Ceballos | OneFootball

Marseille have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Spain international midfielder Dani Ceballos (29), as per Foot Mercato. With Adrien Rabiot (30) being pushed towards the exit door, Roberto De Zerbi’s Phocéens were looking to bring in an experienced reinforcement in midfield before the closure of the transfer window. Ceballos was Marseille’s dream target.

OM will sign Ceballos on a loan deal with a buy option, given the former Arsenal FC midfielder’s contract with Real Madrid expires in 2027. The 29-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Xabi Alonso. Foot Mercato adds that only details still need ironing out between Marseille and Ceballos, but the latter has already agreed to join Marseille.
