Marta Salvador leaves Benfica for Racing Power, seventh in Liga BPI | OneFootball

Marta Salvador has left Benfica to join Racing Power, the seventh-placed side in the Liga BPI, for 2026/27. According to Glorioso 1904, the club have confirmed the signing of the 22-year-old defender.

Salvador made six first-team appearances for Benfica across 2021/22 and 2023/24. She now begins a new chapter in the top flight.

She impressed most with Benfica B, delivering a standout 2022/23. In 2024/25 she spent the season on loan at Damaiense, playing 11 times and scoring one goal.

A serious injury wiped out the following campaign, leaving her without a minute for Benfica as her recovery continued through the season. Now fully fit, she is set for a fresh start at Racing Power.

Zoe Matthews, Carolina Ferreira, Daniela Areia Santos and Letícia Almeida also reached the end of their contracts with Benfica. Daniela Areia Santos and Letícia Almeida have joined Porto, while Salvador has opted for Racing Power. Another defensive departure, Joana Silva, has moved to Valadares Gaia on a permanent basis after a loan in the second half of last season, with Benfica subsequently ending her contract.
