Martín Zubimendi has left the Spain camp with a right knee issue and is returning to Arsenal. He will not be involved in Spain's next friendly.

The federation announced that the midfielder had been withdrawn, adding that Arsenal's medical staff had been notified. Arsenal are set to receive a 10th early return during this international break.

The former Real Sociedad player began on the bench in Friday's 3-0 win over Serbia. He came on for the closing minutes.

Zubimendi has 25 caps and 3 goals for Spain.

The Euro 2024 winners round off the window with a friendly against Egypt on Tuesday at 21:00.
