It was a successful away trip for the Ghirls on Sunday, who returned to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Aberdeen.

Travelling to Balmoral Park, the Celts faced a stubborn Aberdeen side as they looked to take three points back to Glasgow.

After picking up the Player of the Month award for August, Morgan Cross continued her fine start to the season with another goal. The home side levelled up the scoring from the penalty spot before Maria McAneny fired Celtic back in front.

Elena Sadiku's side faced more adversity, conceding a second goal. However, up stepped debutant and second-half substitute, Hannah Luke.

The full-back's deliveries caused havoc for the home side, who conceded an own goal before she scored straight from a set-piece to secure the three points.
