Mathys Tel ‘to stay’ at Tottenham after De Zerbi boost | OneFootball

Mathys Tel would like to remain at Tottenham after a stop-start season, with Roberto De Zerbi’s backing, according to Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old forward wants to develop in a stable setting and to continue under De Zerbi, who has shown faith in him.

This season he has delivered four goals and one assist, but his form picked up in the second half of the campaign, particularly after De Zerbi took charge.

The Italian started him in each of the final four matches, during which Spurs secured their top-flight status.

Tel was loaned to Spurs by Bayern in February 2025, then made a permanent move for 35 million euros the following summer.
