Roma defender Mats Hummels sat down alongside Claudio Ranieri to preview tomorrow’s match with Spurs.
The German veteran answered questions from the media as he looks to make his first start for the Giallorossi.
“Tomorrow is a very important match, perhaps this is our last chance to place ourselves among the first eight teams,” said Hummels.
“For us it’s a great opportunity to reverse the trend and show that we can play at a higher level,” he added.
“Since I arrived I have found a group pf players that have always worked seriously,” he continued.
“I experienced a more complicated moment than this with Borussia, in these cases the only thing you can do is work hard.”
“When I arrived I hadn’t trained for three months and then I didn’t play for technical reasons.”
“I’m confident that better conditions to play will arrive, what matters is to reverse the team’s trend.”
“I have to show the club and the fans that I can play at my level and repay their trust. I have no regrets about coming to Rome. I believe this story will have a happy ending.”
“Tottenham have great players such as Son who always makes you suffer, they’re one of my favorite teams,” he said. “They are a team that will put us under pressure tomorrow and will want to involve the stadium.”
“We mustn’t let ourselves be impressed by the crowd.”
