ExpressAndStar.com reports that Wolves sporting director Matt Jackson has flown to Portugal for talks with new head coach Cesar Peixoto about next season's plans.
Transfer strategy has been discussed, with Peixoto tasked with leading a return to the Premier League at the first attempt.
Rob Edwards had been central to Wolves' transfer approach. How much will change after last week's surprise change of head coach remains unclear, though Jorge Mendes is expected to play a key role after facilitating Peixoto's arrival.
Suggestions of a move for Famalicao right-back Rodrigo Pinheiro are believed to be wide of the mark.
Peixoto returned to Portugal after signing a two-year deal to replace Edwards at the end of last week. He is awaiting a work permit before he can officially start at Compton Park, with pre-season viewed as key.
Talks with senior players are planned before the bulk of the squad return for pre-season in early July.
Several futures must be settled, including striker Sasa Kalajdzic, who has one year left on his contract. He has made only two league starts in four injury-hit years and spent last season on loan at LASK.
"I am looking forward to the conversations I am going to have," he said. "If I am there, I will give it my all. Maybe it is unfinished business. At the end of the day we will see what happens in the summer and what is the best for both."
