Chelsea are prepared to wait until March to decide what they are capable of challenging for this season according to The Telegraph.
The Blues have made a good start to the season with Sunday’s win against Aston Villa taking them back into the top three and level on points with Arsenal in second.
Chelsea have lost just two of their 13 league matches and sit nine points behind Liverpool with talk of a possible title challenge now emerging.
Maresca has played down talk of a title race on numerous occasions, with Cole Palmer adding he believes it’s to early for the Blues to be challenging.
However, former Blue Emmanuel Petit feels the club are well placed to challenge Liverpool, whilst former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan believes they will be Liverpool’s closest challengers.

Maresca may have played down talk of the title this season, but he stuck by his claim that he believes the Blues can be on of the teams that dominate English football over the next five or ten years.
The Telegraph have reported that no one at club is getting carried away by the current league position and internally they believe it’s pointless to think about what might be possible this season until March at the earliest.
The report adds those above Maresca are really happy with how things have gone so far, whilst the pre-season objectives were to help Chelsea improve and implement a clear style of play.
