Matty Cash rates Leeds United target above Robert Lewandowski | OneFootball

Matty Cash has hailed Inter Milan’s Piotr Zielinski as the best team-mate he has had, ahead of Robert Lewandowski and Jack Grealish. Leeds United have been linked with the midfielder since the summer.

“Best player I’ve played with? Ziele is the best I’ve played with. I love Zielinski for sure. I’ve played with Grealish and Lewy, but Zielinski for me is naturally the best footballer I’ve played with,”

He was speaking to Kanal Sportowy.

Leeds have explored attacking reinforcements since the summer after Adam Underwood failed to agree a deal for Fulham’s Harry Wilson. Despite scoring nine in their last four games, the concern has been service to Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Lukas Nmecha.

Zielinski has had limited Serie A minutes at Inter this season, starting only four of 15 league matches. He has started five of Inter’s six Champions League games.

Reports said he was a prime candidate to leave before January. Leeds might consider an ambitious loan for the former Napoli star, with Cash’s praise illustrating his standing.
