Nevertheless, the management identified him as the ideal profile to take over from Marco Baroni who will split ways with the club following a disappointing end to his solitary season in the Italian capital.

The negotiations between the parties have been ongoing for several days, and according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, we are about to reach the final line. The transfer market expert believes that Sarri is on the verge of sealing his return to Lazio on a two-year deal with an option for a third.

Decisive Meeting Between Lazio & Sarri

Fellow Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reveals that a meeting will take place on Sunday between the coach’s representatives and the club’s sporting director, Angelo Fabiani. The two parties are expected to reach a definitive agreement by the end of the summit, while the signatures should arrive on Monday.
