Maxime Estève completes RB Leipzig move | OneFootball

RB Leipzig have signed French centre-back Maxime Estève. He leaves Burnley after two and a half years in England.

The club said in a statement on Friday that the 24-year-old has agreed a five-year contract.

He departs after Burnley were relegated to the Championship, finishing 19th in the Premier League last season.

Leipzig view the deal as significant and rate him for his height, athleticism, excellent left foot, bold build-up play and front-foot defending, noting his experience despite his age.

The 1.93m defender, capped twice by France Under-21s, joined Burnley in 2024 from Montpellier, where he came through the academy. He made 34 Premier League appearances last season.
