Meet the opponents of Palmeiras players at the World Cup

Fifa drew the groups for the 2026 World Cup this Friday (5), in an event held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, United States. The World Cup is set to kick off on June 11 and will take place at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.

National teams with likely players from Palmeiras—Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay—have learned their opponents. Brazil, with Vitor Roque and Andreas Pereira present in the latest call-ups, will face Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti in Group C.

Argentina, with Anibal Moreno and Flaco López, will play against Algeria, Austria, and Jordan in Group J. Uruguay, featuring Piquerez, Emiliano Martínez, and Facundo Torres, is in Group H with Spain, Cape Verde, and Saudi Arabia.

Finally, Paraguay, led by Palmeiras and Paraguay National Team captain Gustavo Gómez, will face the United States, Australia, and a representative from the European Playoff C (Turkey, Romania, Slovakia, or Kosovo).
