Memphis Depay celebrated his 32nd birthday in São Paulo on Friday night, joined by friends, Corinthians players and staff from the club’s training centre, repeating last year’s gesture.

According to Meu Timao, the 2026 theme was All Black Matrix, inspired by the hit franchise of the 2000s. Guests wore all-black, futuristic, cyberpunk looks, and several players and coaches shared their outfits online.

In 2025, the No 10 opted for a different approach, hosting a gala at Palácio dos Cedros in Ipiranga. On that occasion he covered clothing costs for staff who lacked suitable attire.

It is not the squad’s first get-together this season. Earlier this month, after winning the Supercopa Rei, players, coaching staff and club employees held a private dinner in a São Paulo restaurant, where president Osmar Stabile displayed the 2025 Paulista and Copa do Brasil trophies alongside the 2026 Supercopa.

Attention now returns to the Paulistão. Corinthians visit São Bernardo at Primeiro de Maio on Sunday at 20:30, the final round of the group stage, and must win to avoid relying on other results.
